Siddharth Suresh Babu

Siddharth Suresh Babu is a Data Scientist and Researcher affiliated with the Metabolism of Cities Living Lab at San Diego State University (SDSU). He earned a Master of Science in Big Data Analytics from SDSU (2024), where he specialized in machine learning, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and geospatial analytics. Prior to this, he received a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Engineering and Management from R.V. College of Engineering, India (2020). His interdisciplinary research combines data science, computer vision, and network analysis to address complex societal and environmental challenges. He has co-authored peer-reviewed studies on COVID-19 infodemiology and public sentiment analysis in Italy and has contributed to the development of AI-driven methodologies for microplastics detection and environmental monitoring. In addition to his academic work, he has held data science and governance roles in industry, applying advanced analytics, machine learning, and data governance frameworks to support decision-making and innovation.
