She is a natural scientist, doctoral researcher at Politecnico di Milano (Milan, Italy) & Metabolism of Cities Living Lab, San Diego State University (San Diego, California). Her work is focused on (i) monitoring of material flows and pollution cycles in freshwater and marine environments; (ii) investigation of the role of technology in the industrial transition to the circular economy of plastics; (iii) impacts of plastic pollution on coastal communities and marine-dependent activities.
